So, what do you say today?

Psalm 119:103

Psalm 119:3 How sweet…

Ask any doctor and they will tell you that one of the key factors in whether a person live or die is their will. The best medicine in the world sometimes is no match for a person who wants to die. When people make a choice to live, and speak life, as sick as they may be, you find the results totally different than those who have given up and declare that they want to leave this world.

Throughout the scriptures we find verse after verse telling us to speak life. One thing we have to note is that we are not encouraged to choose life only when we feel like it. Instead, we are asked to consciously make a choice of life regardless of how things look.

Hear the voice of God to all of us:

Deuteronomy 30:19 “Today I have given you the choice between death and life, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!”

A few quick things to note in this oh so powerful verse.

1. The choice of either life or death is ours. God has not created robots, He has given us a free will and He allows us to make the choice, but tells us the benefits of making the right choice.

2. When we choose life instead of death, we are choosing blessings instead of curses.

3. Ever thought you were being watched? Well all heaven and earth is watching to witness the choice you will make.

4. When we choose life, it is not just for us but we are setting a precedent and leaving a legacy of life for our children and all future generations.

Today I say, we should choose life.

How do we choose life? We choose life by speaking God’s Word over our lives. We make a decision to agree with Him that we are leaders not followers, lenders not borrowers, overcomers and victorious people through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 18:21 tells us “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it (death or life).”

We get to decide if we want life or death.

If you have been disgusted or disappointed with how your life has turned out start to take stock of the things you have been saying. Make a new choice from today that you will start to speak life over yourself. Get into the Word and let it renew your mind. Start to declare the goodness of God in and around you.

Speak out your destiny. Decide to go after the will of God for your life instead of settling for what landed at your feet.

You are where you are today, because of the things you said yesterday, good or bad. How about turning things around and speaking your way to a better tomorrow?

Stop complaining and start confessing God’s best for you.

Turn your back on lack and declare yourself prosperous and provided for.         (Philippians 4:19)

Don’t feel bad anymore about the times you have failed; start to speak success over your life. (Joshua 1:8)

The doctor’s report is the doctor’s report: announce today that you are walking in the divine health Jesus purchased for you. (Isaiah 53:5)

Whosoever shall SAY is a familiar theme all through the gospels. We get what we SAY.

So, what do you SAY today?

Here are a few verses you can look up to get you started and on your way.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans……..

Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors……..

Deut. 28:13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail………

Psalm 35:27……let the Lord be magnified, Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.

Pause and Ponder

When we think about what we think about and then what we say, we can unmistakably see a direct correlation between the two. It’s no wonder then that when we fail at something we invariably blame ourselves and maybe we don’t even always understand why. In the four gospels we continually hear Jesus use the phrase, ‘whatsover you say, or whosoever shall say.’ Let us pay more attention, from today, to what we say. It is literally a matter of life or death.

Prayer

Father, we are so grateful today for Your Word. Thank you for the Holy Spirit Who guides and leads us into all truth. Thank you for the truth of Your word that when we speak and declare it, brings life and health to us. We make a choice today not just to speak positive Words but to speak Your words of life. Thank You for watching over Your Word to perform it, in Jesus name. Amen

Blessings and thank you for reading.
