Welcome to A Verse and a View.

I am really thrilled that you have stopped by, and do hope that you are encouraged by what you read here. Please make sure to post a comment either just to let me know you were here or that you were blessed or touched in some way by our devotional.

A Verse and a View is a unique idea God gave me sometime back, which really is a devotional at heart. The posts may not always take the traditional format of a devotional but may just be an inspirational piece, all rooted and based on the Word of God. With the help of the Holy Spirit I will share what’s been impressed on my own spirit as I read and study the Word of God. Sometimes it might be fairly deep if I feel led to, with some breakdown of specific words, and at other times it may just be a simple truth I observe from the world around me as I couple it with the scriptures. I want here to be a place of refreshing and I do hope you stay along for the ride :).

A bit about me:

I am a wife and mother of two college-aged young people, a WORD fanatic, a poet, singer, photographer, a cup-cake lover and baker, all the while relentlessly pursuing the things of God. I am still in awe that after being such a quiet and reserved person most of my life, that He could choose to speak to me and then allow me to even open my mouth to encourage someone else. I take it as a privilege, giving all honor and glory to Him.

After publishing a devotional newsletter for about a year I sensed that I should go in the direction of a website to reach a wider audience, but unfortunately, even as I haven’t been able to make that a reality yet, it has not stopped the Holy Spirit from pouring into my heart. So I’ve decided to publish this simple blog of devotionals and inspirational pieces to encourage anyone who may need it.

The most recent article can always be found on the left of this page under the tab “Today’s Verse(s)& View”. This theme has a slide out menu on the left that may not always be visible, so if you don’t see it just click on the little ‘three bars’ icon in the top left hand corner.

Along with the devotionals you can check out the Word Wall to find a display of scriptures, or if you have a prayer request please allow me to believe and stand on the Word with you for an answer. You can also share the Romans Road of salvation page with someone who you think may need it. At the bottom of each page or post you will find sharing buttons for Facebook, Twitter or email so that the message of love and grace doesn’t stop here. There’s a “follow” button at the top of the pages, which is a great way to get notified when a new post goes up.

All the material, photos and posts, you see and read here unless otherwise stated were taken and written by me. I made the Word graphics using Photoshop Elements and don’t mind sharing them with you, just please don’t take them without first letting me know :).

Again, please don’t leave without at least saying hi in the comments section provided below each devotional. It would mean so much to me to know that you were here.

I just want to encourage you to share the devotionals whichever way you choose. You can do it by email or if social media is your thing by all means do so, but share. There are so many hurting people out there. So many that we encounter on a daily basis and there is nothing more comforting than the Word of God.

Ps. It would be awesome if you click the follow tab, that way you will know when there is a new post of encouragement up.

    • It’s never too late Tamekia. God has a divine timing for our lives and I am happy to get to
know you but my deepest desire is to point you in the direction of Jesus. I am
grateful to God even to be of use and impact in any life as I myself am still a work in progress.
Continue to seek the Lord and He will turn your life around. He had a plan and a purpose for
you even before you thought of Him. You step towards Him and He will step towards you. I too am
looking forward to meeting you in person soon 🙂 Blessings my dear.
